Armistice Day Bell Ringing

Sunday 11th November, 10.30am

To mark 100 years since the end of WW1, we will be joining in with the national bell-ringing initiative. We will gather at St. Peter’s at 10.30am to toll one bell and read out the names of the 49 men from Preston Parish who died.

The two minutes’ silence will be at 11am, and then we are asked to ‘ring the bells joyously’, as happened spontaneously on November 11th 1918 all over the country. We will do our best! You are welcome to attend this short commemoration event.
