Armistice Day Bell Ringing

Sunday 11th November, 10.30am To mark 100 years since the end of WW1, we will be joining in with the national bell-ringing initiative. We will gather at St. Peter’s at 10.30am to toll one bell and read out the names of the 49 men from Preston Parish who died. The two minutes’ silence will be at 11am, and then we are asked to ‘ring the bells joyously’, as happened spontaneously on November 11th 1918 all over the country. We will do our best! You are welcome to attend this short commemoration event.

Annual General Meeting 2018

Friends Newsletter - October 2018

Celebration Day Two weeks ago, we held a lunch party to celebrate the completion of the work in the chancel. The event was attended by the Mayor and the deputy-mayor of Brighton and Hove, by the Chief Executive of The Churches Conservation Trust, by representatives of Hare & Humphreys, the firm which had carried out the work, and by many volunteers who had helped in various ways. It was an occasion for us to thank supporters, and for people with many different responsibilities and interests in St. Peter’s, to come together and have the opportunity to meet and talk. It was a very happy and worthwhile occasion. But 2018 is not over yet ... See Caroline Lucas' blog here: https://www.carolinel
